Custom carbon was formed by Jon Selby as a sole trader concern in January 2003. With background experience in the aviation and defence industries, the company has always focused repair and product manufacture with pre-preg material production methods. Custom Carbon was incorporated as a limited company in 2007.

The companies own ranges have been, and are very diverse. These ranging from high end motorsport components, to specialist transport cases, tattoo machines, and non certified aviation parts. This has meant a diverse experience in the processing of composite materials and their applications.
